Can you believe it?  This is the last week of school for the 2018-2019 school year!  We would like to take one quick moment to give a big thank you to all our wonderful parents for their incredible support. We wish much success for your children in the 5th grade 🙂

Chalk Walk: We are looking to borrow a shop vac and easy-up tent for our event on Thursday.  Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher for more information.

AR/Homework: Please remind your child to read their AR books!

4th Grade Play: Our Student created 4th grade play is this week!!!

The family performance is this Thursday, May 23 at 6:30 pm.

  • Students should arrive at 6 pm and go directly to Rm. 303 or 304.
  • The doors to the auditorium will open at 6pm.
  • There will be a snack bar to purchase small snacks.

The play will also be performed on Thursday and Friday morning for the rest of the school.  Please have your child come to school on those days ready to perform in their chorus outfit or costume.

Snack Bar: We are asking for donations of individually packaged chips, juices, candy, etc. to sell at our 4th Grade Play, as a 4th grade fundraiser.  Please consider helping us out 🙂

Chalk Walk: We are still in need of volunteers for the Chalk Walk on May 30.  Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher if you are interested.

State Testing: CAASPP Testing continues everyday this week.  Please ensure your child gets plenty of rest, eats a well balanced breakfast everyday, and remember to encourage your child to do their best.  If you want great ideas for how to support your child during the test taking season here is a great website to visit: http://www.testtakingtips.com/parents/index.htm – Good luck!

Homework: Due to  State testing there will be no assigned homework this week.

4th Grade Play: Our Student created 4th grade play is next week!!!  All students should attend the performance on May 23 at 6:30 pm.  Students should arrive at 6 pm.

Chalk Walk Volunteers

4th Grade Parents,

We are going to need some volunteers for each 4th grade class on our Chalk Walk Day to help students chalk the picture on May 30th from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  We have been asked to turn in this information by this Friday so please respond to your child’s homeroom teacher ASAP.

We also need donations of the following items. Please let your child’s homeroom teacher know what you are donating and bring these items in before the event:

  • baby wipes
  • 1 1/2 inch blue painter’s tape
  • use a shop vac for the day
  • canopy for the day – It can be brought in any time and will be set up on the 30th around 8:15 a.m.  It can be picked up at dismissal that day.

Volunteer Jobs

  • Gridding and Drawing Wednesday, May 29th (time: afterschool 3:30-4:30) (volunteer does not need to be an expert artistJ) We need a basic outline of the picture and grid lines drawn.

Day of the Event, May 30th

  • Canopy set-up (8:15-9:00)
  • Supervising volunteers (supervise and help students)
